Grievance Procedure in the event an adult learner needs to file a complaint:


For matters dealing with procedures, assignments, or other matters, the resident first should try to approach the staff involved (e.g., course instructor, coach, mentor teacher, program coordinator) and attempt to resolve the issue with him or her. If the resident’s concerns are not satisfactorily resolved after the discussion (OR there is a desire to seek support in addressing the matter), the resident should present the matter to the MRC director in writing, via email (rmorgan@tmsoe.org ). The director will work with the MRC staff to resolve the matter. Should there be a need to elevate grievances beyond the Instructors, Program Coordinator, and Program Director, please first contact the Executive Director, Rita Nolan (rnolan@tmsoe.org), in writing via email. Further elevated grievances will be received by the Board President, Karen Anderson (karenganderson@gmail.com ), in writing, via email.  Final grievances can be with the IL Board of Higher Education: https://complaints.ibhe.org/
