"Montessori 101 & Collaborative Communities"
(For Teacher Assistants, Administrators & Paraprofessionals)
Join us for a deep dive into Dr. Montessori's key tenets, foundations, and philosophy. Participant will gain a greater understanding of the various curricular areas by understanding the purpose, aims, and objectives of the Montessori materials. Participants will also enhance their classroom management toolkits to better understand and support children's development needs. We will discuss and share ideas to support language development and social -emotional development, particularly as it relates to setting up the classroom for success at the start of the school year. Attendees will participate in discussions to help build more collaborative partnerships with colleagues. We hope you will join us to deepen your understanding of child development through positive discipline, co-regulation, Grace & Courtesy lessons and much more!
July 16- 17, 2025
"Understanding Behaviors Starts with Understanding Ourselves"
(Open to ALL)
Over this two day workshop, we will take a deep dive into a ten pillar, "Conscious Educator" framework. During this time, we will focus on reflection, healing, care and growth of oneself through a Head, Heart, Hand approach. Participants will gain a better understanding of brain science as we focus on self-regulation, co-regulation, nervous system, emotion regulation, and behavioral patterns. We will incorporate aspects self of care through movement, meditation, breathe-work, and self-reflection. We hope you will join us for this rejuvenating and important work!

"What I Wish I Would Have Learned in My Training!"
(Geared for new and/or experienced teachers and administrators)
Join us for the day to reflect, discuss, and learn about all the things teachers are often not "taught" in training such as leading parent-teacher conferences (especially those more challenging ones!); building strong teams with assistant teachers, administration, and other community members; establishing trust in the parent-teacher-partnership; building strong communities through various events ...and more!
ICW are in conjunction with the Montessori Residency Chicago trainees. Trained teachers are welcome to attend curricular courses as a Refresher Course. Assistant teachers, Paraprofessionals, Administrators, and Parents are welcome to attend for an in depth dive into specific curricular areas. These classes must be attended for the full week; classes start at 8:30am and end at 3:45pm
June 16-20 - Montessori Theory *(no class June 19)
June 23-27 - Practical Life
June 30 - July 3 - Sensorial *(no class July 4)
July 7 -11 - Language
July 14-18 - Math
July 21-25 - Cultural Studies
July 28 - Aug. 1 - The Prepared Adult *
